Ha! The first book I did with a publisher was The More I See of Men, the More I Love my Dog. It's been reissued and reformatted a ziillion times and I'm kicking myself for working for hire on it twenty odd years ago (I didn't write it) as I seem to recall I got 500 quid in total.
