What a beautiful and meandering rabbit hole you provided this week, allowing - no, inviting - all of us to avoid Saturday chores and errands. Question: When do you choose a blue sketch pencil for dropout vs red?
Glad you enjoyed meandering through the warren this week, Mary. Lots to ponder, I hope!
I use blue sketch depending on the job-- sometimes as a rough guide for caricatures so I allow enough space, and other times for book illustrations so when I scan them the photo blue drops out.
Thanks for the peek at the digital side. I've been toying around with the idea of doing something like that, too, and getting hung up on what kind of gear it'd take. (Any chance this is a subject you plan to cover on Process Junkie?)

You are such a kind man. All those caricatures made your subjects look better!
Self preservation! 😁
Thank you for the lovely words on the Daily Cartoonist btw. Very kind of you 🙏
Love the business card caricatures. Morris: "You expect me to pee on this?!"
