My friend Ethan suggested I attend a podcast gathering at Slattery's Pub in midtown on Saturday night. Here are my blurry -and almost certainly inaccurate- recollections of what unfolded.
I applaud your bravery, sir! The meat on a stick certainly would have enticed me to attend such an event, but I'm not sure I could have braved all of the characters you met. A lot of alcohol would have helped, along with lots of meat sticks. Loved all the sketches.
I feel like this is really a heroic story about meat on a stick. I love the moustache friend (in a good place) and the guy looking up at the tv in the bar. I feel like I have met him before and maybe his wife cleans out his used zip lock bags for him to use a second time. I could be wrong. Maybe she even saves the elastic from used underwear to close things with. *This character is based on a true story. I love you work :)
I want to hear more about those cults. #CultOnAStick
This was amazing.
Absolutely lovely. I do want a meat on a stick with a free drink!
SO good. I would have loved to go to that party, but this is the next best thing!
Imagine being able to tell someone a story while you actively draw it, this is a great one!

Thank you Julie!
Yes. The meat helped. (In stick-sized doses.)
Excellent stack man!👏✍️

The guy looking at the TV almost certainly had re-washed zip lock bags in his jacket pocket.
Full of meat. (Pulled from sticks.)
Oh yes, indeed! Haha. I hadn't taken the idea all the way through to it's natural conclusion. Thank you.
